Employee Spotlight is our blog series where we get up-close and personal with our team members at Ackcio. For this edition of the Employee Spotlight series, we are featuring Radershan Suguneswaran, one of our Embedded Engineers who has been with Ackcio for 3 years.
Introduce yourself and your role at Ackcio.
Hello, my name is Radershan Suguneswaran, and I'm from Sri Lanka. I'm an Embedded Engineer in Ackcio's firmware team. I’m responsible for integrating industrial geotechnical and mining sensors with the Ackcio Beam product suite.
What drew you to Ackcio when you initially started and how has the company changed since then?
When I joined Ackcio in 2018 as an undergraduate intern, Ackcio had a small team with a few active projects in East Asia. Three years later, today, the team has tripled in size and we have client presence in more than 22 countries on 6 continents.
What does your job entail?
My key responsibilities are integrating industrial digital sensors with Ackcio Digital Node that involves architecting and developing firmware libraries and sensor drivers. It requires cross-team planning (software, hardware) and collaborative work with industrial sensor manufacturers. I also assist our interns with their firmware projects.
What are some of your career milestones/accomplishments?
I consider my work an accomplishment even if it helps to solve a small real-world problem.
What are the three traits that define you?
Persistence, Enthusiastic, Loving.
What is your favourite part about working for Ackcio?
At Ackcio, I enjoy the work environment and the freedom we have. I learn a lot from my colleagues every day.
What’s your favourite indoor/outdoor activity?
I enjoy playing carom billiards with my friends and going for walks in beautiful natural settings.
What is one food that you cannot resist?
Any simple meal prepared by my mother.
